Camp Sessions
The Bible
A generation that does not know truth cannot be guided by truth. At High Point, we are passionate about helping students develop a personal relationship with God's Word. Through multiple sessions, we teach teens how to read, understand, and apply the Bible in their everyday lives. We also explore the reliability and validity of Scripture, equipping students with confidence that the Bible is not only historically trustworthy but also God's living Word for their lives today. Our goal is to help every student build their life on the unchanging truth of God's Word.
Counterfeit Religions Part 1
In a world filled with competing beliefs and spiritual claims, it is essential for students to know what they believe and why they believe it. In this session, we compare biblical Christianity with Islam, Mormonism, and Jehovah’s Witness teachings, highlighting the key differences between the truth of Scripture and counterfeit doctrines. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the person and work of Jesus Christ, His divine identity, and the foundation of the Gospel. They will also learn how to engage others with both confidence and compassion, standing firmly for truth while demonstrating the love of Christ.
Objections to Christianity
Christianity is often challenged by difficult questions and misunderstandings about the Bible. Why does the Old Testament contain violence? What does Scripture really teach about slavery? How should Christians respond to passages that seem confusing or controversial? In this session, students will examine some of the most common objections skeptics raise against the Christian faith. They will learn how to approach these questions with honesty, critical thinking, and a biblical worldview, gaining confidence that Christianity can withstand careful examination and that God's Word remains trustworthy even when facing difficult topics.
Evil & Suffering
One of the most common questions people ask is, "If God is good, why does evil exist?" Closely related is the question, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" In this session, students will wrestle with these challenging realities and explore what Scripture teaches about pain, suffering, injustice, and the brokenness of our world. Rather than avoiding difficult questions, we will examine them honestly through a biblical worldview, helping students understand God's character, His purposes, and His presence in the midst of suffering. Students will leave with a deeper confidence in the goodness of God and the hope found in Christ, even during life's most difficult seasons.
Money
Money is one of the most talked-about subjects in the Bible because how we handle our resources often reveals the condition of our hearts. In this session, students will explore what Scripture teaches about wealth, generosity, stewardship, work, contentment, and financial responsibility. They will be challenged to view money not as something to serve, but as a tool to honor God and bless others. In a culture that often measures success by possessions and personal achievement, students will learn biblical principles that lead to wisdom, freedom, and a life centered on God's purposes.
Politics Part 2
Building on the foundation of a biblical worldview, this session will tackle some of the most controversial social and political issues facing our culture today. Students will learn how to evaluate topics such as abortion, immigration, racial division, religious freedom, gender identity, sexuality, poverty, and justice through the lens of Scripture rather than popular opinion, media narratives, or political ideology.
The goal is not simply to tell students what to think, but to teach them how to think biblically. They will be challenged to hold firmly to God's truth while demonstrating Christlike love, compassion, humility, and conviction in a culture that is often polarized and hostile to differing viewpoints.
Health & Wellness
God desires for us to be healthy and whole—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. In this session, students will explore a biblical approach to health and wellness that recognizes the important connection between the body, mind, and spirit. We will discuss practical ways to care for mental and emotional health, address common struggles such as anxiety, depression, and stress, and examine the role that lifestyle, relationships, thought patterns, and spiritual disciplines play in overall well-being. Students will learn that while faith is essential, not every mental health challenge can simply be prayed away. Instead, they will be encouraged to pursue both biblical wisdom and practical solutions as they learn to steward their minds, emotions, and bodies in a way that honors God.
Guys & Girls Panel
One of the most anticipated sessions at High Point Summer Camp is our Guys & Girls Panels. During these sessions, campers split into separate groups with trusted leaders and mentors to discuss topics that are relevant to their gender and season of life.
These panels provide a safe, open environment where students can ask honest questions about faith, relationships, identity, purity, friendships, future goals, and the challenges they face as young men and women. Nothing is off limits, and campers are encouraged to engage in meaningful conversations and receive practical, biblical guidance.
For many students, these sessions become a camp highlight because of the authenticity, wisdom, and personal connection they experience. The Guys & Girls Panels are designed to equip young people with truth, encouragement, and confidence as they pursue God's purpose for their lives.
The Church
Many people attend church regularly but have never fully understood God's design and purpose for the Church. In this session, we explore what the Bible teaches about the Church, our role in the Body of Christ, and how the Church is called to impact the world around us. We will also address the reality of "church hurt," discuss healthy biblical responses to disappointment and offense, and learn how to navigate challenges with church leaders and fellow believers while maintaining unity, honor, and spiritual growth.
Counterfeit Religions Part 2
In Part Two, students will explore some of the most common objections and challenges raised against the Christian faith in today's culture. Questions such as, "Can the Bible be trusted?", "Has science disproved God?", and "Is Jesus really the only way to God?" will be examined through the lens of Scripture, reason, and evidence.
This session is designed to strengthen students' confidence in the truth of Christianity by providing thoughtful, biblical answers to difficult questions. Rather than avoiding hard conversations, students will learn how to engage them with wisdom, humility, and grace. They will be equipped to defend their faith, respond to skepticism, and confidently articulate why the Gospel remains the hope of the world.
The Value of Life
Every human life has inherent worth and dignity because every person is created in the image of God. From the womb to old age, regardless of background, ability, or circumstance, life is a gift that deserves to be valued and protected. In this session, students will explore the biblical foundation for the sanctity of life and examine some of the most significant life-related issues facing our culture today. Topics include abortion, the role of Planned Parenthood, immigration, and capital punishment. Through a biblical lens, students will learn how to think clearly, respond compassionately, and uphold God's heart for every human being.
Israel
From God's covenant with Abraham to the establishment of the modern nation of Israel, the story of Israel plays a central role in understanding the Bible and God's redemptive plan. In this session, students will explore the biblical, historical, and prophetic significance of Israel, examining God's relationship with His people throughout both the Old and New Covenants. We will discuss key promises made to Israel, how they relate to the Church, and how Christians should understand Israel's role in the world today. Students will be challenged to think biblically about current events, end-times discussions, and God's ongoing faithfulness to His promises while developing a balanced, Scripture-based perspective on Israel.
Politics Part 1
In an increasingly divided culture, it is essential for Christians to know how to engage political issues through a biblical worldview. In this session, students will explore what Scripture teaches about government, leadership, justice, authority, and citizenship. They will learn how to think critically about political issues without allowing politics to shape their identity more than their faith in Christ. Rather than placing their hope in political parties, candidates, or government systems, students will be challenged to remain faithful to God's Kingdom, represent Christ well, and be a positive influence in the world around them.
Gender
God intentionally created humanity as male and female, with both genders equally bearing His image and possessing unique value, purpose, and design. In this session, students will explore the biblical foundation for gender, God's design for men and women, and the complementary roles and strengths He has given each. We will examine the cultural messages surrounding gender identity and compare them with the truth of Scripture, helping students understand why identity is ultimately found in Christ and not in personal feelings or cultural trends. Students will be equipped to think biblically about gender dysphoria and transgender ideology while learning how to communicate truth with conviction, wisdom, and compassion. Our goal is to help students confidently embrace their God-given identity and stand firm in a culture that increasingly rejects God's design.
Evangelism
Sharing your faith can feel intimidating, but it is one of the greatest privileges of the Christian life. In this session, students will learn how to communicate the Gospel with both boldness and compassion in everyday conversations. Through practical teaching, real-life examples, and biblical principles, students will gain confidence in starting meaningful conversations, responding to difficult questions, and sharing the hope of Christ with clarity, grace, and love. Our goal is to equip students to be effective witnesses who faithfully represent Jesus wherever God has placed them.
